Remembrance Day

Canada, Remembrance for the men and women who have served!
Canadians recognize Remembrance Day, originally called Armistice Day, every 11 November at 11 a.m. It marks the end of hostilities during the First World War and an opportunity to recall all those who have served in the nation’s defence.
Remembrance Day rejuvenated interest in recalling the war and military sacrifice. It remained a day to honour the fallen, but traditional services also witnessed occasional calls to remember the horror of war and to embrace peace.

Mont Royal

Canada/Montreal, Mont Royal!
Mount Royal is a large volcanic-related hill or small mountain in the city of Montreal, immediately west of Downtown Montreal. The City of Montreal takes its name from Mt Royal.
The hill is part of the Monteregian Hills situated between the Laurentians and the Appalachian Mountains. It gave its Latin name, Mons Regius, to the Monteregian chain. The hill consists of three peaks: Colline de la Croix (233 m), Colline d'Outremont or Mount Murray (211 m) and Westmount Summit (201 m) elevation above mean sea level.
